Past event: Future Mortar Systems Conference 2011

Delivering the future of In-direct, Organic Fire Support

The Future Mortar Systems conference is returning for its second year following the huge success of the inaugural event in 2010 and our hugely influential Future Artillery conference series. With over 80 attendees from 19 nations, 2010’s attending delegates met other requirements setters, procurement staff and weapons specialists from infantry headquarters to discuss the future of mortar weapons.

The 2011 conference will once again explore the developments that are revolutionising this weapon system, including:

  • Enhancing accuracy, range and lethality capability through precise, reduced weight HE ammunition
  • Digitising and networking mortars into the broader ground fires capability
  • Insight into the latest live and simulated training initiatives designed specifically for mortar operators
  • Examination of advanced vehicle mounted mortar programmes
  • Upcoming requirements for enhancing mortar capability

Very valuable, good networking as well.
