Past event: Airborne Electronic Warfare Conference

Assessing the ongoing need to stay ahead of the threat

Now in its 10th year, Airborne Electronic Warfare is the premier international conference dedicated to the airborne application of EW, and will provide critical insight on technological developments and programme updates. With $24.8 bn to be spent on the development and production of EW systems over the next 10 years, it will remain of crucial importance that aircraft, whether well-established or newly developed platforms, are sent into theatre with the best protection suites available to them.

Uniting requirements setters, policy makers and procurement officers from the programme offices of fast-jet, rotor wing and transport aircraft, the event provides the opportunity to network in informal surrounds, with focus on developing the capability of the EW community and sharing solutions on this issue.

At the 10th Annual Airborne Electronic Warfare you will be able to:

  • Hear a broad coverage of UK MoD and RAF activity - with particular focus on the contrasts of operating EW in Afghanistan and Libya
  • Further lessons learned from French EW operations in Libya - discover how NATO nations are managing threat on current and ongoing operations
  • Full spectrum Canadian briefings - with updates of EW support to the Canadian fleet and developments with Canadian Forces structure and EW doctrine
  • Counter-measure and aircraft survivability – platform protection for rotary and fixed-wing, plus examination of the use of IRCM in Afghanistan and RF counter-measures in Libya
  • Developments in jamming and Electronic Attack technology and doctrine, with briefings from JSF Office and US Navy Prowler and Growler programmes
