Future ISR: C4ISR, Network Enabled Capability and ISR Interoperability Conference

Future ISR is a call to action for military information officers responsible for C4ISR, heads of technology and chiefs of ISTAR (including Afghan Mission Network (AMN), MAJIIC 2, Empire Challenge, NATO AGS & AEW&C and national MoD counterparts) to accelerate joint C4ISR transformation initiatives to deliver ISR interoperability and network enabled capability. The conference will use case studies to scrutinise core challenges and potential solutions before exploring and defining best practice through interactive panel discussions and targeted work groups with industry partners to produce a conference report which captures the most useful contributions.

Over the last decade, billions of dollars, euros and pounds have been spent on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR / C4ISR) assets  to give our forces an information superiority advantage through enhanced situational awareness in theatre. However, the full value and utility of these assets is often lost due to:

  • Lack of ISR interoperability between coalition forces
  • Data overload, bottlenecks and inadequate information management
  • Outdated and inefficient organisational processes
  • Disconnect between intelligence analysts and force commanders
  • Discrepancies between intelligence sources which confuse the common operating picture
  • Lack of information sharing with non-military partners who are vital to overall mission success
  • The variety of mission contexts and actors involved such as humanitarian and disaster relief
  • Missions, homeland / national security and high profile terrorism targets such as the Olympics.
  • Information assurance

Why Future ISR

Based on 6 months of research and feedback from our customers, we have created the Future ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) summit to tackle the inhibitors above:

In contrast to conventional conferences featuring prepared briefings, Future ISR will advance the discovery of practical solutions to these common C4ISR challenges by creating a forum for candid discussion, sharing of best practice and enhanced collaboration with industry and technology providers.

Why Attend?

  • With budget pressures, we need to maximise utility of current ISR assets, learn how to make smarter decisions and create interoperable future ISR assets
  • There are real projects and programmes that demonstrate Network Enabled Capability (NEC) is working - hear case studies from international agencies on how to implement NEC in your organisation
  • Take part in the roundtable discussions to discuss and debate how you can reach the goals of operational commander situational awareness and common operating picture
  • We’re an independent platform: as a professional conference company we don’t have a particular agenda to push in this context. Future ISR will be the best platform for progression as those involved will be freer to speak frankly and candidly
  • Receive the conference report to identify and drive forward initiatives: we aim to have “rapporteurs” will listen to each roundtable discussion to capture the most useful contributions. This will be done anonymously and compiled into a conference report which will be available for general distribution.
