Past event: Military Radar 2011 Conference

Enabling Mission Critical Radar Technologies and Capabilities

Military Radar is the largest and longest running radar event with a military focus in Europe. It is clear that modern, effective radar systems on air, sea and land platforms are a crucial force enabler.

In the past year radar technology has continued to evolve rapidly. New Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar technology has triggered a race to equip new, and legacy, front line platforms with the best systems in existence. Battlefield surveillance radar is coming into fruition as a key counter-insurgency tool. All while the development of Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) technology, synthetic aperture radar, noise radar and cognitive radar systems advances rapidly.

With this in mind it seems crucial that you should join the Military Radar community in London in October.

Military Radar 2011 will investigate Airborne, Land-based and Maritime radar, enabling you to :

  • Attain unrivalled insight to the current radar reliant operations of the major military powers in Afghanistan and Libya. Briefings will be given by the Royal Air Force, US Navy, US Air Force and many more.
  • Increase your understanding of current and future radar industry programmes, with input from prime manufacturers such as Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, Thales, Selex, BAE Systems and QinetiQ. This is your chance to benefit from unprecedented access to primary industry
  • Consider the implications and applications of technical defence research in the field from the UK Defence Science & Technology Laboratory (DSTL) and the US DoD Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and understand the ramifications before they affect your job
  • Gain a head start in understanding the future of radar technology through briefings from world-class research establishments including TNO Defence, Security and Safety and Gdansk Technology Institute amongst others

"Military Radar provides an excellent forum to interface with worldwide operational users and radar professionals to gain better understanding of radar capability needs and emerging radar trends to meet these needs."
Arnie Victor, Director, Strategy and Business Development, Raytheon

"Very high level. A good mix. For me Military Radar is valuable as it’s an introduction to the environment and what’s hot right now"
Rune Skreiberg, Royal Norwegian Air Force

"Military Radar is a good chance to have updates on technology developments"
Lieutenant Colonel Paolo Nuvoloni, Italian Air Force
