Tackling Spectrum Management Challenges using DSA, Cognitive Radios and The Latest Approaches, Tactics, Tools and Technologies

OSD, the Services and key public safety organizations face increasing competition for valuable spectrum resources in the form of burgeoning demands from the commercial arena for more cellular and wireless communication capabilities. This comes on top of dynamically increasing demands for more bandwidth for traditional and new C4ISR missions. These problems are exacerbated in overseas operations, where the challenges are often quite different from country to country and threaten to erode our technical advantages. To counteract these limitations, government and industry have been working on new technologies, chief among these Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) and cognitive radios, to enable forces to identify and share unused or little-used spectrum on an as-needed basis.

This outstanding conference brings together many of the most influential leaders in the spectrum management and next-generation radios community.

  • What is the status of spectrum regulatory policy?
  • What can be expected in the near future?
  • What is the status of OSD and Service spectrum management strategy, plans, and initiatives?
  • What are the lessons learned in DSA implementation?
  • What are the latest developments in DSA and cognitive radio technology?

These critical questions and many more will be examined during this important event.
