Procurement & Vendor Management Summit

Establishing Effective Procurement Strategies to Manage Compliance and Achieve Project Success

The re-invigoration of the nuclear industry in recent years is showing the potential and impetus to become a leading source of renewable, low emission, clean energy in the United States. This trajectory though, hinges on the success of nuclear power professionals to build supply chain efficiency while managing costs and ensuring the safe generation of that nuclear power. Achieving those imperative KPIs can only be realized through the development & execution of an efficient supply chain strategy and compliance with established and developing nuclear regulations.

Having the combined operating licenses already approved for 5 new nuclear reactors in the US, the new build supply chain for those facilities will serve as examples for the next wave of new nuclear facilities to be built in the US. Similarly, maintaining efficient supply chain operations at existing nuclear facilities is critically important as aging US facilities receive intense scrutiny of their safe and profitable operation.

The Nuclear Supply Chain: Procurement & Vendor Management Summit, taking place on April 28-30, 2014 in Greenville, SC, will address the challenges faced by supply chain professionals working in the nuclear power industry and discuss the solutions that have engendered success in their operations.
