The first targeted PG&E’s Metcalf power substation in San Jose, the second was at TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant in Spring City, Tennessee. In the first instance PG&E lost functionality on 17 transformers, recovering operations in less than 4 weeks.
Four weeks is actually remarkably quick...critical components such as transformers can take 3 months to 2 years to be manufactured and shipped, depending on the size and requirements.
