Past event: Oil & Gas Transportation Canada Summit

Building Road and Rail Infrastructure to Support Canadian and U.S. Oil and Gas Industry

In 2009 there were 500 railway oil wagons moved in Canada. This year there will be approximately 140,000. In the U.S. there were 9500 wagons moved in 2009. That number has jumped to 234,000 in 2012 and is on course to nearly double in 2013. Because of the ability for E&P producers are to drill in more unconventional spaces a gap has emerged in both infrastructure to support the transportation of crude products and logistics and supply chains to properly support drilling and construction activities.

The 2nd Oil & Gas Transportation Canada Summit will bring together E&P companies, regulators, freight, and rail operators in their quest to develop efficient and safe modes to transport oil, gas, and equipment. In addition, we will be discussing the industries leading challenges in oil and gas storage, safety regulations, logistics, building terminals, and delivering product and material by alternative means. Because of capacity constraints, delivering on time and on budget has never been more critical. Join us to learn how to optimize your business and develop supply chain and logistics networks that will set you apart from your peers.

Crucial and timely topics that will be cover include:

  • Impacts of pipeline expansion and the resulting effects on rail and freight pricing as well as oil and gas transport capacity
  • Supply chain and logistical issues for the transportation of crude products and equipment
  • Cost containment strategies associated with fleet management, storage and leasing
  • Safety regulation and developments in road, rail, and pipeline

Why Attend the Oil & Gas Logistics and Transportation Summit?

  • Learn to be proactive in managing your logistical network to mitigate costs associated with tariffs, storage, and leasing
  • Compare key moving parts of the crude oil supply chain and their impacts on the bottom line
  • Identify what infrastructure build out is necessary to alleviate bottle necks and where policy makers stand in terms of building out sufficient infrastructure to support supply capacity
