Past event: Women in Financial Services Executive Forum 2018

Caroline Howard, writing for Forbes, posited that ''one of the best antidotes to female economic disenfranchisement is hitting a critical mass of women at the top rungs of the global financial system.'' And while the pace of change has been slow, female executives continue to lead the charge in actively lobbying for, and promoting, diversity in the male-dominated world of finance. We'll be highlighting their narratives, and celebrating their achievements, as testament to the success of women in the highest echelons of financial services at the inaugural Women in Financial Services Executive Forum 2018, taking place in New York City this June 28-29. We've canvassed executives to find out the topics that get them excited to discuss.

Our event will cover:
  • Whether modern affinity groups are still relevant or if diversity councils should be replaced by inclusion councils that include majority stakeholders
  • Boardroom 2020: What Skills Do You Need to Brush Up on to Prepare You to Step into a C-Suite or Board Role?
  • Innovations and disruptive technologies impacting financial services and how female executives can take the lead in confronting these challenges

Through outstanding keynotes, speed mentoring modules, panel discussions, interactive breakout sessions, and high-level networking we'll be highlighting diverse voices and insights gained from collective journeys of growth and empowerment. Attendees who are already active in similar affinity groups within their respective organizations can further broaden their network through the high concentration of senior executives - representing multifunctional roles and both regional and multinational financial institutions - convened at this forum, along with wide-ranging conversations that inspire and deliver practical advice for further career development.
