Exclusive Site Visit

Innotech's Alberta Carbon Conversion Technology Centre (ACCTC)

During the Tuesday afternoon, prior to the conference, a limited number of conference delegates will receive the unique opportunity to visit the Innotech's Alberta Carbon Conversion Technology Centre.

Innotech's Alberta Carbon Conversion Technology Centre (ACCTC) was recently established in Calgary to test and advance carbon capture and conversion technologies that accelerate greenhouse gas emission reductions by enabling the commercially viable conversion of carbon into value-added products.

The ACCTC will provide technology developers with the capabilities for testing and refining their technologies using real-life flue gas from natural gas combustion. InnoTech Alberta owns and operates the ACCTC, which is being used initially to enable the Carbon XPRIZE Competition testing of the top five technologies to occur.

InnoTech Alberta, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alberta Innovates, was established to facilitate the conversion of applied research to economic, social and environmental benefits for Alberta. InnoTech links basic research and commercial outcomes in accordance with the strategic directions for research and innovation set out by the Government of Alberta. This is achieved by operating laboratories, performing applied research and development, and delivering laboratory services in key areas of strength, in multiple locations within the province for government and industry clients.

There is no extra charge to attend the site visit, but spaces are limited and allocated to the conference delegates on a first come first served basis. Therefore, we would strongly suggest to book your place early to avoid disappointment.
