Past event: Border Security & Intelligence Summit

Leveraging All-Source Intelligence Sharing and Advanced Technology to Support Security of our Borders

Our 9th Annual Border Security and Intelligence Summit will focus on improving information and intelligence capabilities to aid in securing our borders. Equally, we will look at advanced technologies, from emerging biometrics to cargo screening, that can increase efficiency and provide greater situational awareness of the threat landscape.

Topics to be covered at the 2021 Summit:

  • Transforming data into intelligence and making that information relevant to various stakeholders at the speed of relevance
  • Utilizing levels of ML/ AL for improving the speed of processing, exploitation, and dissemination of data
  • Improving cargo screening and port physical and cybersecurity through enhanced technical capabilities and improved collaborative information and intelligence sharing
  • Integration of autonomous capabilities, and advanced data-centric applications into technical and operational levels to improve effectiveness, efficiencies, and safety at the frontline
  • Combating illegal trafficking, narco-terrorist threats, and TCOs through strengthening joint investigations, intelligence and information sharing, and S&T coordination
  • Improving Cybersecurity for the IC information environment
  • Advancements in biometrics: maximizing mobile and multi-modal technology innovation at the border and ports of entry
  • Countering physical threats at the border, including C-UAS capabilities

Why You Should Attend This Summit:

Our 9th Annual Border Security and Intelligence Summit will focus on the policies and technologies necessary to ensure the continued safety of the U.S. Homeland through the protection and security of our nation's borders. TCOs continue to adapt their tactics, techniques, and procedures, supported by ever increasingly sophisticated networks and technologies.

Our society's continual expansion of data and the utilization of online activities by malicious actors continues to place difficult challenges for our federal and state intelligence divisions towards processing, exploiting and disseminating information into meaningful intelligence at the speed of relevance. Cargo processed at our ports of entry continues to grow while ports begin to move to greater levels of digitization, bringing higher demands on screening and physical and cybersecurity requirements.

To this end, the 2021 Summit topics will focus on operational strategies, advanced technologies, and current capability gaps to further enhance the information, intelligence and investigative enterprises that support the security of our borders and Nation: from supporting the disruption of TCOs and drug cartels 'beyond the border' to aiding efficient cargo and maritime port security operations.

The Summit's educational 'Town Hall' format will serve as a conduit for cross-collaboration and the interchange of knowledge. Join us for an honest, open discussion between senior leaders across the federal government, the US military, academia, and industry to better understand how to protect the border from transnational crime and unlawful trade and travel.
