Past event: Assured Supply Chain for Defense Summit

Enhancing the Nation's Military Supply Chain and Resiliency

With the continued shift to great power competition the US military will no longer be able to move material and people uncontested across the globe. If a large-scale conflict breaks out the current supply chain will be strained to produce and move the supplies to the point of need in a timely manner. The infrastructure and logistical capabilities of the United States need to be modernized to meet the growing challenges and threats of the times. This will require a joint DoD and industry effort to make ensure that US power can be projected globally, and US forces will have the supplies needed to defeat any potential enemy.

Why You Should Attend this Year's Summit

The Assured Supply Chain for Defense Summit will focus on enhancing the resilience and efficiency of the Military supply chain. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become clear that US supply chains issues are not only an economic issue but a threat to security and national security as well. The ability to manufacture and move materials and finished products from factories to warehouses to the troops on the frontline has shown to be a challenge even in the best of conditions. If a large-scale conflict against a peer or near peer competitor were to break out the US would find itself lacking the capabilities to produce the weapons and systems needed to conduct the conflict.

Along with the supply line issue is the challenge of manufacturing and storing materials in an efficient manner. New technologies like 5G and AI are allowing depots and storage facilities to become more efficient and better at tracking their inventory. This will improve the military's ability to know what shortages it faces on mission critical supplies and allow them to increase the readiness of units across the joint force.

Our Assured Supply Chain for Defense Summit will provide a forum to discuss the latest developments in actions and measures taken to secure the nation's critical military supply chain. This year's Symposium will foster conversation between relevant stakeholders from the community to discuss how to advance supply and logistical challenges throughout the supply and chain and allow support operations to be conducted across the globe.
