Ensuring U.S. Space Superiority Through the Advancement of Small Spacecraft and Launch Capabilities

The 2022 SmallSat & Space Access Summit will convene members of the DoD, IC, and space industry to address the role small satellite capabilities play realizing critical national security goals. Senior leaders will discuss how these SmallSat technologies can be leveraged to fulfil urgent defense, scientific, and commercial needs. Attendees at the Summit will have the unique opportunity to hear from leading US Government officials about ensuring undeterred space access, improving satellite technologies, advancing launch capabilities and the future national hybrid space architecture.

Topics of Discussion:

  • Developing Future Force Design Options through SmallSat Capabilities
  • Focusing on High Density, Low Value Satellites to Deliver Advance Capabilities to the US Government
  • Assuring America's Space Capabilities and maintaining the Nation's Competitive Advantage in the Space Domain
  • Developing Future Force Design Options through SmallSat Capabilities
  • Using Small Satellites to Evolve the Way Analysts and Operators think About Solving National Security Problems
  • Facilitating Orbital Safety of Commercial and Government Space Flights
  • Balancing Public Safety with Innovation in the Commercial Space Environment
  • Building One-of-a-Kind Customized Components for Space Systems and National Defense

Why You Should Attend This Summit:

Historically, satellites are massive in size and incredibly expensive to both develop and launch. To alleviate this problem, the US has turned its attention toward the advancement of small satellites which are proven to be more cost-effective and pragmatic. The advantages of small satellites are not just their drastically reduced cost, but also their increased ease of launch, flexibility, and increased ability to strengthen overall space capabilities.

The 5th Annual SmallSat and Space Access Summit will address efforts across DoD, IC, and Federal Agencies to ensure US space superiority through the development of small spacecraft and launch capabilities. Attendees will hear from senior leaders and experts from across the US Government, industry, and academic field who will highlight key technological advancements and the challenges that must be overcome to create a successful framework for successful space access. Additionally, the Summit will convene a panel of experts who will discuss the importance of exploiting SmallSat in enhancing the Nation's understanding of Space and the Earth. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to engage with senior leaders about recent changes to the national space enterprise and current critical capability gaps.

Our team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Summits' content and focus areas. We seek to bring together the respected leaders from the DoD and IC, leading research centers, and industry technology providers.
