Past event: DoD Energy & Power Summit

Powering the Future Force Through Resilient, Efficient and Sustainable Energy

The 4th Annual DoD Energy and Power Summit will focus on the technologies and policies necessary to support greater energy efficiency, resiliency, affordability, and environmental sustainability for the Department of Defense for both fixed and mobile environments. Attendees will hear from Military and US Government leaders about current efforts to meet the need for increased power systems in response to new, innovative, and rapidly developing military technology. In addition to requiring more power, these systems must also demonstrate greater resiliency against threats -both natural and manmade. This forum will also offer up discussions on the critical importance of having more efficient systems and installations by reducing current carbon emissions to meet DoDs future 21st Century energy goals.

Topics to be covered at the 2022 Summit:

  • Leading US Army Operational Energy Efforts through responsive Contingency-Based Solutions
  • Advancing Transformational Energy Research and Development to Enable Cutting-Edge Technology Solutions
  • Achieving DoN Energy Goals by Reducing Energy Consumption and Increasing Operational Reach of Weapons Systems
  • Providing Better, Faster, Cost Effective Public Works in Support of Naval Commands
  • Delivering Civil Engineer Expertise to Strengthen Air Force Installations and Enhance Combat Power
  • Accelerating Collaborative Research in Advanced Battery Materials and Technologies
  • Optimizing USMC Expeditionary Capabilities across Warfighting Functions
  • Developments in extreme batteries, micro nuclear reactors, fuel cells, and bioenergy
  • Improving Efficiencies and Resilience through On-Site Generation and Achieving Black Start Capabilities in Support of Joint Service Efforts

Why You Should Attend This Summit:

The 2022 DoD Energy & Power Summit will bring together members of the Department of Defense, Military, US Government, and Industry to focus on current efforts to meet the needs of increased power systems in response to new, innovative, and rapidly developing military technology.

As part of its 2022 budget, DoD has requested $26.1 billion in funding. This would allow for increased spending on Military construction and sustainment restoration, and modernization efforts. It would also enable the replacement, restoration, and modernization of enduring facilities to enhance their resilience against natural and manmade threats.

Attendees will hear directly from experts and leaders in the energy & power sectors about current DoD initiatives as well as efforts to overcome challenges through innovative partnerships with industry. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage with a panel discussion on the critical importance of having more efficient systems and installations by reducing current carbon emissions to meet DoDs future 21st Century energy goals.

At Our Summit You Have the Ability To:

  • Gain Education & Insight: Walk away with knowledge gained from our senior level speakers on some of the most complex issues facing the DoD and Federal Government as it relates to power and energy.
  • Build Partnerships: The agenda is designed to allow for ample networking opportunities and the ability to discover some of the latest operational energy priorities of interest to the DoD and Federal Government.
  • Influence: Help foster ideas. Share your own insight and knowledge during our interactive sessions. Our town hall format is your opportunity to address our speakers with questions or comments on the current mission.
