Air Integration 2013 will explore how we can optimize system integration processes and solutions in the most economical manner whilst still delivering a highly effective solution for the Warfighter.

We are delighted to announce the 2013 instalment of Europe’s only dedicated Air Integration forum.

In recent years, the shift towards asymmetric warfare has often led to aerial platforms taking on new roles. In both Afghanistan and the recent unrest in the Middle East and Africa, air-based platforms have been employed in multi-role missions.

The need for aerial platforms to take on these multi-role missions has increased the challenges facing our technical and integration team. The need to increase the speed of system integrations and to do so in a cost effective manner is the driving consideration behind Air Integration 2013.


Highlights of the event include:

  • Overview of current integration requirements for fixed wing and rotary wing assets set against the backdrop of recent action in Africa
  • Given the increasing importance of UAS, hear about the importance of new ISR and weapons systems onto these platforms
  • Examining the differing demands between operational capability and asset limitations of each nation
  • Discussion of the increasing importance of modelling and simulation as a cost-effective alternative to physical integration testing
  • Looking into detail at the effects of electromagnetic compatibility issues on radar, active sensors and other equipment now fitted on ultra-modern platforms
