Enterprise Mobility Summit
Enhancing Information Flow and Sharing in a Mobile World

3 December, 2012 - 5 December, 2012, Arlington, VA, United States

As this technology becomes increasingly mobile, agile, and accessible; the operational benefits grow innumerable. The Defense Department heeds these developments and has signaled their willingness for structural change. Teri Takai, the DoD CIO, recently released their “Mobile Device Strategy” to show their path to studying, adopting and using mobile devices in their operational activities.

As such, we bring you the timely Enterprise Mobility for Defense, a unique event focused on the benefits of a mobile architecture within the DoD agencies and services. It focuses on three critical areas of development:

  • Wireless Infrastructure: The advancement of the DoD’s Information Enterprise infrastructure to support mobile devices, secure network access, and information sharing
  • Mobile Devices: The establishment of policies and standards that support mobile usage, operability, and device management
  • Mobile and Web-Enabled Applications: The creation of processes and tools that enable consistent development, testing, and distribution of DoD-approved mobile applications

The commercial world proved the viability and performance of a mobile enterprise in in the private realm. Be sure to attend this summit to learn about the DoD’s path forward in creating their mobile future.

In-depth discussions will cover:

  • Mobility market: The status of various mobile market opportunities as evidenced by agency-specific developments
  • Connectivity issues: Managing and building spectrum capabilities to provide access to real-time data on the tactical edge
  • Smartphone vs. ruggedized devices: Customizing and deploying applications based on the various operational needs
  • Demonstrable value: Methods for industry to successfully develop a cost-valuable platform approach to enterprise mobility
  • Savings/Costs: Comparing the potential cost savings of added work efficiency vs. associated costs, security implements, and training
