Past event: UAS Training and Simulation Conference

Introducing the only conference in the world dedicated to advancing the training of UAS operators

The majority of the debate surrounding the use of drones is platform-centric, often comparing the operational performances of the latest UAVs or surveillance UAS. However, given that 60% of the average UAS project budget is spent on training and simulation for service personnel, this is an area which needs greater attention – this conference will fill that void.

Therefore, due to overwhelming demand, we are proud to announce the return of the UAS Training and Simulation Conference, in order to support the pioneers using ground-breaking RPA training platforms and simulators for the training of service personnel.

Unlike in previous years, we are not limiting this event to the military. Indeed, we recognise the fact that UAS technology has spread to the civilian sector for law enforcement and public safety purposes.

We therefore decided to hold this unique conference, which will bring together both civilian and military operators of this technology to share best practice in how to effectively integrate service personnel with the latest platforms and auxiliary UAS technology to ensure that they are trained to carry out a given mission to the highest possible standard.

With military representation already confirmed from across Europe, North America and the Middle East, in conjunction with the UK airspace regulators and the police and fire services who are in the early stages of using this technology, this promises to be the most thought-provoking and diverse gathering of the UAS community in 2014.

Reasons to attend

  • Take part in the only conference dedicated to advancing the training of UAS operators
  • Hear exclusive briefings from those that are at the forefront of training military service personnel on a range of UAS platforms from the tactical to the MALE-sized unmanned aerial systems
  • Join the pioneers in the public safety and law enforcement space and how they are training their UAS operators to comply with domestic aviation authorities
  • Interactive technology demonstrations from the leading industry players, enabling you to view the cutting-edge simulation software and RPA training systems
  • Experiment with innovative RPA training platforms and simulators, which can be used for multiple unmanned aerial systems
  • Debate best practice in the qualifications needed for piloting drones - should non-manned aircraft pilots be allowed to operate the technology?
