Past event: Floating LNG 2016 Conference

Our 4th annual Floating LNG conference will provide attendees with highlights of the calendar providing attendees with an all-encompassing, robust and strategic insight on the latest developments within the Floating LNG market. The conference will provide a unique opportunity, providing a platform for participants to optimise activities and ensure project sustainability and success. This conference will equip you with the tools to overcome the logistical, financial, technological and economic challenges associated with FLNG Facility deployment and ensure succinct transition from design to operation.

Despite plummeting volatile oil prices, capital spend in the Floating LNG market, coupling liquefaction and regasification facilities, is expected to reach $58.3 billion 2015-2021 (according to Douglas-Westwood research). With a history of nearly 30 years of development and research there is tremendous interest in the technology; with the first FLNG facilities expecting to go into operation in 2016. The emergence of these projects will certainly influence the prospect of FLNG as a viable, clean and commercially successful energy source. However, the transition from design to operation does not come without it’s challenges as well as opportunities.

Some of the topics to addressed include: effect of lower oil price on the FLNG market, project safety, risk mitigation, ensuring feasibility at all scales, market drivers, legal and regulatory compliance, onshore versus offshore, comparative geographical analysis, case studies and many more.

Benefits of Attending

  • Provide the chance to learn about the status of leading FLNG projects – how will their deployment of these facilities affect the FLNG market?
  • Examine the impact of the oil-gas price margin on the viability of sustained growth within the FLNG market
  • Debate the influence of geopolitics on the supply and demand of FLNG
  • Ensure compliance and update your knowledge on standards, regulation and legislation regarding the safety and environmental use of  FLNG
  • Understand the current technological landscape and optimisation of FKLNG solutions to reduce CAPEX and OPEX, including ramifications of unmanned shipping and how this may affect FLNG
