Past event: Design Thinking 2017 Conference

Driving Sustainable Growth and Competitive Advantage Through Human-Centered Design

How to Design Think

Design Thinking 2017 isn't your typical user conference. The event gathers the many practitioners, in and outside of the design function, who've identified Design Thinking as a useful problem-solving tool. Featuring plenary keynotes/panels and interactive track workshops, plus a master class termed Design Thinking University, you'll gain the insights and inspiration you need to operationalize Design Thinking both functionally and as a business strategy. Unfamiliar with the Design Thinking process? Here's a quick primer:
  • Empathize - Fully understand the perspective of your user or customer. Look through their eyes.
  • Define - Based on your empathy, culminate your findings to determine your problem statement and what will be the focus of your design,
  • Ideate - Generate a large pool of various possible solutions, leaving no stone unturned to explore solutions beyond the obvious.
  • Prototype - Transform conceptual ideas into a physical, tangible form in which you and your peers can interact.
  • Test - Try out refined prototypes, garner feedback, learn more about the user and their experience, and refine your perspective.
  • Iterate - Continue repeating the process, maintaining continuous focus on the user or customer.
