Past event: Maritime Reconnaissance & Surveillance 2013 Conference

Achieve Complete Domain Awareness by Utilising the most Effective Technologies and Platforms

2013 marks the 100th Anniversary of Italian Naval Aviation. In line with this remarkable milestone, we are delighted to announce the 11th annual Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance event being held this September in Rome, in official partnership with the Italian Navy.

The only event specifically dedicated to maritime patrol aircraft in Europe, Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance 2012 attracted a truly international array of over 150 senior military and industry representatives to engage in a two-way discussion about the future direction of patrol aircraft, be they rotary wing, fixed wing or unmanned.

So What’s New for 2013?

Naturally, Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance 2013 will provide you with a truly international viewpoint on current and future MPA requirements but this year will also see the introduction of a brand-new Satellite Reconnaissance Focus Day. As the importance of satellite-based geospatial intelligence, tracking and video analytics continues to develop, the Focus Day will offer a unique insight into the opportunities satellites present for improving our maritime domain awareness and security.

You can also expect to meet a wider range of non-European participants than ever before including nations whose maritime security is vital for international trade including the Philippines and Trinidad and Tobago

The agenda for this year's event is available to Download now or access some of our exclusive online content to further your knowledge of the Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance Domain

We look forward to welcoming you to Rome later this year.

Why should you attend Maritime Reconnaissance & Surveillance 2013?

  • Engage with senior military commanders on their capabilities and requirements
The conference represents an unrivalled opportunity to not only listen to senior military commanders about the future of their fleets, but also interact with them on a one-to-one basis. Last year’s event attracted over 150 representatives from 20 different nations, and the 2013 conference is set to unite an even bigger gathering of experts, including those from new nations such as Malaysia, Nigeria, Iceland and Cape Verde.
  • Learn about current problems in achieving domain awareness
With over 30 conference sessions, Maritime Reconnaissance & Surveillance gets to the heart of the challenges encountered by Navies, as their task of monitoring, policing and interdicting vessels is made increasingly difficult by the increasingly complex tactics and vessels employed by hostile forces. Hear about the very latest gaps in capabilities discovered during recent operations and the requirements these Navies now face.
  • Explore and collaborate on future modernisation strategies
The event’s interactive panel discussion and networking sessions ensures that there is a two-way discussion between military and industry on the future direction of patrol aircraft. Make sure that your organisation’s offerings are known to the rest of the reconnaissance and surveillance community as they debate the best modernisation strategies going forward

A good mix of Navy, Coast Guard and industry speakers, providing a very comprehensive view of MPA capability. A good insight on the gaps and where MPA are going in the future.
