Past event: Joint Deep Strike 2013 Conference

We are delighted to announce the launch of our inaugural Joint Deep Strike 2013, Europe’s only Deep Strike event of the year.

Operation Unified Protector highlighted the growing importance of Joint Deep Strike capabilities. As the availability of regional air bases declines, nations must look to increased long range, deep strike capabilities, launched primarily from the sea.

The difficulties experienced in Afghanistan and Iraq, along with shrinking defence budgets, would indicate that such large scale ground conflicts are unlikely to be a regular occasion in the future. Instead, deep strike sea-based power projection operations are much more likely to become the norm.

Joint Deep Strike will examine the growing significance of Deep Strike capabilities and the strategic importance of integrating the naval and air force assets involved

Highlights of the Conference include:

  • First hand operational accounts from the most significant and successful deep-strike operation of recent times – Operation Unified Protector. Learn about the assets deployed, the successes made and areas which were identified as needing to be improved for future deep strike operations
  • Examining the capabilities of a range of air based deep strike platforms including the Rafale, Gripen and the potential offered by 5th Generation Fighters
  • Learn about the future developments in deep strike weapons at both the surface level and in the air
  • Unite with your international naval and air force colleagues, to facilitate a vital dialogue between the two forces in order to create the most efficient and integrated deep strike force

We are delighted to announce the launch of our inaugural Joint Deep Strike event and we hope that you will be able to join us there.
