The 10th Annual Close Air Support Conference will be held on the 5th, 6th & 7th November 2012 at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London. The aim of the Close Air Support Conference is to provide an opportunity for military, government and industry personnel involved with Close Air Support and Close Air Support programmes to share programme updates, future requirements, new technologies and Lessons Identified relating to Close Air Support and contemporary operations.
The Close Air Support Conference will be attended by requirements and acquisition officials from the Land and Air Systems divisions on national procurement bodies, as well as senior military Officers from nations across the world. Also present will be the senior management of the leading industry contractors providing relevant technologies.
The conference will be held at The Royal Aeronautical Society, London. The Society is conveniently located in central London and is easily reached from London airports and rail stations. The conference will follow the format of previous conferences namely a study day examining Future CAS followed by 2 days of presentations looking at contemporary national CAS programmes. The presentations are interspersed with generous breaks to allowprivate discussion and viewing of the exhibition area. A lunch will be provided each day as well as refreshments during breaks.
With military operations in Afghanistan due to end in 2014 the focus now is embedding the hard won lessons following 10 years of combat experience. CAS 2012 will feature presentations from various nations that focus on the preparation, training, equipment and joint fires support provided to the JTAC/JFO/TACP for the dismounted fight. accommodation at The Royal Aeronautical Society itself. The society is
located directly next door to the London Intercontinental Hotel. The
Holiday Inn London Mayfair is 5 minutes walk up Piccadilly.

will be shown. Military & Government delegates can get lower cost accommodation at the Union Jack Club.
Military & Government delegates (including overseas) could try the Union Jack Club at Waterloo for accommodation. The Union Jack Club is the British Armed Forces London club and provides discounted accommodation for service personnel equivalent to a three star hotel. The club is conveniently located in central London opposite Waterloo Station. Accommodation charges at the club are a fraction of standard London hotel charges. Accommodation MUST be organised directly with the club by the delegate. The cost is NOT included in the delegate fee for the conference. IT IS ADVISABLE TO BOOK EARLY AS ACCOMMODATION IS VERY POPULAR.
