Integrating Solutions for Enhanced Enterprise Mobility
In May 2012, President Obama directed the launch of the Digital Government Strategy, a comprehensive roadmap for the federal government to embrace the level of digital connectivity made possible by 21st century technology. Since then, numerous government agencies have taken the first steps toward integrating this new technology with their existing infrastructure, spending over $2B on integration efforts this year alone.
With the expansion of mobile technology, costs and resources dedicated to supporting this technology are equally increasing. Through proper system integration, the wide variety of systems used by government agencies will be able to work together and share information with equal access whether they are in an office or in the field.
This goal of this event is to highlight integration in three main steps:
- Multi-Platform Integration: Creating software solutions so programs work on multiple platforms, allowing information to be shared more easily when agencies are using different systems
- Cross-Device Accessibility: Creating solutions to avoid mixed formatting, trouble relating instructions for finding specific information, and confusing and extended training and IT support depending on which family of device or even specific device brand is being used
- Security Solutions for Integrated Systems: Ensuring that there can be a consistent and universal way to provide security without limiting secure options to a handful of approved devices
Attendees will benefit from:
- Understanding how the variety of platforms and devices in various government agencies can be brought together into a cohesive network
- Learning how, once mobiledevices are introduced, they can be utilized for greater information access and increased cooperation among agencies
- Hearing from the government officials who are making purchasing decisions and using the systems
