As the battlefield and ISR systems become more advanced in the collection and communication of date, the need to consider comms vulnerability in system design and mission planning is crucial. Whether an engineer, operator or analyst the need to understand the vulnerability of communications through mission modelling and analysis is a key to mission success. Stakeholders in this area will find an interest to learn how mission modeling and analysis within a synthetic 3D environment can significantly mitigate EW threats.
Why you should attend
- Learn about Satcomm connectivity and RFI and how to manage challenges you might face through using it
- Look specifically at Aircraft to air, air to ground relay
- Hear about terrain obstruction on ground comms and how to combat this
- Explore the concept of electronic warfare including electronic attack, electronic protection and electronic support
- Get a better understanding of Electromagnetic Environment and the implications of this for your comms

Masterclass Leader
Chris Kucera, Integrated Solutions Director, AGI
Chris Kucera manages all electronic systems solutions sales and business development for Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI). In this role, he leads interactions with government entities working to support electronic warfare, RF communications and other spectrum activities. He has introduced new capabilities to the software that strengthen the framework that AGI provides for electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) analysis. Chris has a degree in aerospace and engineering from Virginia Tech. He has supported the use of AGI software to plan NASA’s RF network, assisted the Joint Navigation Warfare Center with their use of AGI software to predict GPS jamming effects and has led the development of many hardware-in-the-loop RF simulation tools that AGI supports, such as the JTRS simulator at SPAWAR. Chris has been an employee with AGI since 2003 and has served as systems engineer, account manager and now as business developer for electronic systems solutions sales. Chris enjoys spending his free time fishing on the Chesapeake Bay or flying his airplane around the coast of Virginia.
