Past event: Health Support Systems and Medical Logistics Conference

Exploring Medical Technology to Care for Wounded Soldiers

In-theatre healthcare has never been so effective in saving soldiers lives. The real challenge that faces a medical soldier in theatre is choosing technology that maximises that care and using it to its full potential. Making the correct decision and learning essential skills will improve quality of care, reduce medical errors and prevent deaths.

Military Health Forces are prioritising efforts to utilise integrated communication systems and the emerging technologies that support medics on the front line. However this is still an area of emerging possibilities. Exactly what support systems will prove in the end to be the most efficient and cost effective is still to be determined. We are at a critical point and now is the time to listen and discuss with your international colleagues what has been trialed, and what will increase medical force interoperability and integration.

The forum is part of the ‘Battlefield Healthcare Series’ which is widely recognised as the premier European meeting for military and industry to convene, share ideas and drive progress in the field of combat casualty care. In the last three years we have welcomed over 200 delegates from 14 countries who work in areas such as Medical Operations and Plans, J4 Medical, Surgeons, MD, Staff Instructors, Commander Field Hospital, Medical Forces Operations HQ, and Analyst Lessons learned
