Past event: Defence Geospatial Intelligence Conference (DGI)

Defence Geospatial Intelligence - Providing a place for the international community to address solutions and strategies for getting actionable intelligence to the right person, at the right time!

DGI is the most significant event in Europe for the national security community and intelligence experts exploiting location information for local, national and coalition national security programs.

Focusing on how key decisions are supported through the provision of location intelligence but embracing ever wider information superiority needs, DGI serves the sharing of information and networking needs of government and industry leaders from across NATO, Europe and international mission partners.

What’s New for 2015?

Specific Examples of Improvements:
  • Personalised Itineraries for Senior Leaders – 1 for Contributors, 1 for Guests to include guided tours, access to private meeting space, peer-to-peer roundtables, private dinner
  • Conference Formats Re-engineered for Defence – Interactive Case Studies (Case Study Revolutions but more traditional), Live Interviews, Tech Innovation Spotlights, Multi-national Panels, Government-led Roundtables
  • Clear Themes – NA/Arctic, Journey so Far, Horizon Scanning
  • Fewer Streams Focusing on Most Valuable Information – 8 versus 12 to avoid repetitive content, rushing from session to session, disappointed speakers, overkill on choice
  • New Networking App – Attendify to dramatically improve how delegates spend time networking onsite
  • Access for SMEs – Packages to enable smaller, crowd-pulling game-changing technology developers into the show
  • Deeper Attendance from 5 EYES and NATO Nations – Improving the quality of networking for our sponsors who agree Europe and its allies represent the best sales opportunity in 2015
  • More Focused Advisory Board – Access to agile decision making about improvements to make in real time across the campaign
  • Growth Sectors – Tracking the biggest trends in geospatial integration including Drones and Space-based remote sensing as examples
  • Onsite Improvements – Venue maps, more time to get to sessions, new networking app, better food, live session streaming into the exhibition
  • No Classified Stream – DGI to be an inclusive event enabling private discourse
  • More Commercial Perspectives – Governments want to learn more from the commercial sector so this will be a theme across the 3 days
  • Networking Lounge – highly accessible spaces for networking in more informal settings to break the ice faster
