Past event: Maritime Salvage & Casualty Response Conference

Gaining Operational, Legal & Commercial Advantages From Practical Salvage Case Studies

Following 6 successful years of our Maritime Salvage & Casualty Response, the conference series will continue with the 7th edition to be held on 7th & 8th September 2016 in London.

With salvors having to conduct harder and more complex salvage operations with the cost of wreck removal spiralling out of control, the industry heads are looking at innovative ways to ensure a secure and profitable future. 2015 saw a number of developments in the salvage industry, including mergers in the salvage market, the entrance of the Nairobi Wreck Removal Convention, and the remarkable conclusion of the Costa Concordia wreck removal. Salvage contracts continue to be used with opinions differing between which contract is best; the battle between LOF Vs. other commercial salvage contracts continues to dominate the debate. But are the salvage companies equipped and prepared for these challenges of future? How will the issues in the current soft insurance market affect the salvage and shipping industry? Which salvage contracts are proving the most beneficial?

Our 7th Maritime Salvage & Casualty Response Conference will aim to address both the technical challenges of salvage operations as well as the legal, insurance and commercial implications through recent case studies and expert views from senior level representatives in the salvage industry.
