New Partnerships for Health Security Development and Crisis Response - Where National, Charitable and Commercial Institutions Meet

The most pressing threats on the global health security agenda continue to overwhelm the governments and communities that are worst affected. Responsibility for overcoming the consequences of natural disaster and contagious disease has traditionally fallen to national and charitable institutions. As armed forces and the commercial sector increase their commitment to global health, however, there are new opportunities for a multinational, multi-sectoral response.

Medical Support Operations 2018 will seek to clarify who does what, when and how when it comes to deployed emergency medicine. Organised with the support of the UK MoD's Defence Medical Services, MSO2018 will examine the demands of detecting, diagnosing and responding to disaster, and of delivering an effective standard of care in an infrastructure and technology-poor environment.

Why you should attend Medical Support Operations 2018:

  • Interoperate more effectively with your military, humanitarian and commercial partners in the delivery of deployed care
  • Detect, predict and diagnose disease and disaster sooner, in order to facilitate a rapid and effective medical response that minimises the reach of infection and trauma
  • Safely transport blood and critical resources to the point of need, even in an austere operating environment
  • Deliver clinical care far forward by advancing your understanding of ruggedised clinical equipment, and prolong survivability in a resource-poor setting
