Past event: VA Healthcare Summit

Delivering the Highest-Quality Care to our Nation's Heroes

Across the entirety of the United States Government, there is no priority more imperative than that of providing the highest-quality care to our nation's Veterans. As the largest integrated health care network in the United States, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is tasked with providing care to our nation's Veterans. In order to provide Veterans with the world-class benefits and services they have rightfully earned, it requires a multitude of collaboration across organizations throughout the VA, one that must be ever modernizing to meet the evolving needs of our nation's Veterans.

The VA has undergone a number of significant challenges over the past decade. The pandemic has forced the VA to shift the way that it provides patient experience and care, with a need to better integrate digital and mobile technologies like telehealth. Supply chain disruptions are changing the way that the VA provides the tools, equipment, medicine and technology to its providers and patients. The integration of electronic health records is changing the way that clinicians provide care at VA medical centers. The MISSION Act has opened up new options for private care to veterans. Taken together, the VA requires a full spectrum overview of how to better tackle these challenges to provide the best care for our nation's veterans.

Our Veterans Affairs Healthcare Summit is now in its 16th iteration, and is an industry-wide staple for those supporting the VA's mission set. Our partners across the Military, Government, Private Health, academia and consultant communities have consistently made this event a marquee gathering for those senior stakeholders. With a Summit regularly hosting over 350+ attendees, this engagement opportunity will provide those leaders across the ecosystem the chance to learn, share, and connect with our Nation's Veterans to improve health, access, and delivery, and the opportunity to collaborate in person!

What to expect at the VA Healthcare 2022 Summit

At our annual VA Healthcare Summit, we at the Institute for Defense and Government Advancement strive to deliver excellent on-site experiences for all of our attendees, whether you represent a government agency like the VA, a leading hospital or healthcare organization, or a healthcare industry innovator. For those who join us at the event, there are a multitude of opportunities available.

Key insights and learning outcomes

Following Secretary Denis McDonough's announcement that the VA plans to focus on principles of Advocacy, Access, Outcomes and Excellence to better improve veteran's healthcare, there is no better time to hear from VA thought leaders on how the agency plans to move forward on key policy and operational goals. With two separate conference tracks on digital transformation and supply chain management on day 1, you will have the opportunity to mix and match which presentations are relevant to your organization. Other portions of the conference will be focused on key themes like VA patient experience, clinical challenges and roadmaps for future care.

All of the VA leadership and associated healthcare stakeholders

Not only will you hear keynote presentations, interactive discussions and issue-focused panels from great speakers like Congressmen Mike Levin, Congressmen Brad Wenstrup, Deputy Assistant VA Secretary Terry Riffel, and VA Deputy Chief Information Officer Laura Prietula, you will also get to engage with a multitude of other conference guests from across the veteran’s healthcare sector. Mingle, network and meet with attendees holding titles like Digital Health Lead for the Defense Health Agency, Medical Officer for the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, and Veteran Outreach Specialist at the VA.

Enhanced interaction and engagement to foster better relationships

We help our attendees maximize connections and value through an array of on-site activities. Hit the ground running at one of our morning breakfasts or one of our allotted coffee breaks throughout the day for intuitive collaboration. Sit together with leaders at one of networking lunches, or book time in our private meeting room for a more intimate face-to-face conversation with potential clients and partners. Follow up during our happy hour drinks reception at the end of day 1, where you can enjoy free libations while mingling with industry and government leaders. Throughout the event, our representatives on-site also are available to help facilitate connections that generate lasting relationships.

Solution providers from every vertical, in one place, at the same time

Interested in finding the right vendor solution for your organization or seeing how industry products work in action? Join us at any point during the conference in our exhibition hall, where top flight vendors will showcase the latest technologies, administrative innovations and clinical solutions in the veteran's healthcare sector. From industry stalwarts like Johnson & Johnson, Adobe and IBM to clinical innovators like Podimetrics and Advanced Oxygen Therapy Inc, a trip into the exhibition hall provides the perfect chance to see how the healthcare industry is adapting to challenges and delivering excellent solutions.
