Past event: Naval Repair & Refit Conference

Enhancing Vessel Management And Repair Methodologies To Improve Fleet Readiness

Whilst budgets continue to shrink as a result of the current financial climate, the operational tempo of current naval activities shows no sign of letting up. With a range of on-going international commitments and a need to protect maritime trade routes, greater emphasis than ever is being placed on reducing repair and maintenance down time in order to improve fleet readiness.

We are delighted to announce the return of our 4th annual Naval Refit and Repair Conference. Building on the success of previous events in the series, our 2012 conference will provide detailed insight into a range of contemporary modernisation programmes, providing an unrivalled opportunity to not only listen to senior military commander about the future of their fleets, but also interact with them on a one-to-one basis, Naval Refit and Repair 2012 truly is an unmissable opportunity.

Key themes being addressed and Naval Refit and Repair 2012 include:

  • How to build military-industry partnerships for greater efficiency & cost savings, and where to draw the line
  • How obsolescence and capability management can be improved to reduce problems with legacy systems whilst improving platform performance
  • How can predictive maintenance be used most effectively to reduce down time due to refit and repair?
