Delivering Cutting-Edge Technology and the Power of Data to Healthcare Providers and the Military Veterans they Serve

The National Congress on Next Generation Military and Veterans Healthcare Systems, along with the National Think Tank on VA Women's Health System Modernization, will serve as the meeting place for thought leaders to highlight how all government, along with public/private partnerships can address the above challenges and advance our veterans healthcare.

As the nation's largest integrated healthcare system, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is tasked with the vital duty of ensuring that our military veterans receive the highest-quality care available to them. With this duty comes a great number of challenges, not only due to the pandemic, but with aging healthcare centers, supply chain issues and technology. Join us as we bring together Military, Government, private health care providers, academia and consultants to give an overview of how we can improve healthcare access and delivery to our nation's veterans

Although the subject matter of this conference relates to Military and Veterans Healthcare, this is a non-VA event. The Department of Veterans Affairs nor any of its components (VHA, VBA) have sponsored or endorsed this event or the organiser.

National Think Tank on VA Women's Health System Modernization

Oct 19, 2023 8:45am - 05:00 PM

A Roadmap to Optimizing the Delivery of Women-Specific Healthcare Services Across the VA

Women Veterans are one of the fastest growing segments of the VA patient population. A fundamental shift in culture and health resources is required to transform a health system that has long prioritized the care of male veterans.

Women veterans can have differing military experiences - physical and mental stressors, and traumas - as well as the prevalence of different diseases, and gender-specific conditions.

This one-day leadership summit is a series of curated discussions aimed at identifying and addressing current and future care needs of women service members.

The goal is to bring together government, senior clinicians, and IT leaders to explore innovative approaches, and opportunities to enhance the delivery of health services for women veterans - so that they feel safe, supported, and respected every step of the way. Each session will aim to build a deeper understanding of current barriers to care and, advance conversations about how to overcome them.
