Elevating Next-Gen Identity & Access Management gor Government

The 10th Annual Identity Management Symposium will bring together DoD, DHS, the Federal Government and industry leaders to facilitate open dialogue on the latest policy and technology developments impacting the identity and access management sector. Ensuring the integrity of federal accounts and identity is imperative to national security efforts. Strengthened multifactor authentication processes and the adoption of a Zero Trust framework help combat reusing stolen credentials and phishing scams, which remain the primary ways attackers access federal organizations to deploy ransomware and mine personal information.

Topics to be covered at the 2024 Symposium:

  • Keeping Pace with the Zero Trust Framework to Form a Modern Digital Government Ensuring a Transparent Security Posture
  • Biometric Facial Comparison Technology: Introducing Innovative Identity Verification Across CBP
  • Expanding NCTC Partnerships to Support Biometric Capabilities Across Counterterrorism Efforts
  • Driving DMDC's Efforts Towards a Stronger and More Flexible Approach to Identity Management
  • The Next Generation of Identity Access Management: How Generative AI is Defining Identity Frameworks
  • Driving Resiliency Efforts Protecting User Identity Across Financial Institutions

Why you should attend this year's Symposium:

The 10th Annual Identity Management Symposium will address the importance in developments across the biometric and identity management sectors as they relate to national security. Biometrics and identity management systems stand as crucial pillars in fortifying the security infrastructure of the U.S. federal government. As technology evolves, the need to safeguard sensitive information and maintain the integrity of federal accounts becomes increasingly paramount. The U.S. federal government, entrusted with safeguarding national interests and critical data, relies on these advanced systems to thwart potential threats, ensuring that only authorized personnel gain access to classified information. This event will detail how the adoption of multifactor authentication and the incorporation of a Zero Trust framework further exemplify the commitment to combatting cyber threats, phishing scams, and credential misuse. In an era where digital risks are pervasive, biometrics and identity management systems are indispensable tools, safeguarding the nation's security and fortifying the foundations of its digital infrastructure.

Across government agencies and the Armed Services, a number of projects and funding have been secured to ensure state of the art developments and technology for federal programs. Attendees at this event will learn about how NDAA is directing the DoD to establish the ICAM initiative as a Program-of-Record. The U.S. Army has allocated $94M for the development of an Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) Contract, is focusing efforts on Unified Network Plan for global connectivity on unclassified network as laid out in the NDAA FY23 and is rolling out 3-phase Zero Trust journey to implement the framework by 2027. Foundational capabilities: identity, credential, and access management; network visibility; endpoint security. They will also get to listen in on a panel of senior leaders from across the government discussing how Generative AI is defining identity frameworks.
