Bridging Bench to Bedside - Navigating the Future of Clinical Trial Supply Chains to Enhance Patient Outcomes
The clinical trial supply chain has been under immense pressure in recent years - both with confronting the pandemic itself and the supply chain bottlenecks post-pandemic. But that pressure brought with it the necessity to re-imagine the relationship between the clinical trial supply chain and the clinical trial patients that supply chain is there to serve. New models such as decentralised clinical trials and direct-to-patient clinical trials demand a supply chain that is flexible, agile, resilient, and built around patient needs.
The industry is now able to move from the reactive mindset demanded by the pandemic to the proactive mindset demanded by contemporary and future challenges. How will decentralised and direct-to-patient clinical trials continue to evolve and what does that mean for clinical trial supply chain evolution? How will new supply chain automation and AI transform what is possible and how the supply chain operates? How can the clinical trial supply chain play its part in driving down environmental impacts?
All of these questions have real implications for patients. That's why we are bringing together senior industry leaders from across the clinical trial supply chain. We'll be asking the fundamental question: from bench to bedside, how can we drive improvements across the clinical trial supply chain to deliver for patients?
