Delivering a World-Class, Player-Centric Gaming Experience
The past year has undoubtedly been eventful for the gaming industry. We've witnessed expansive growth in the industry as a whole, changing player demographics with the increase in number of gamers globally and the rise of casual gamers. Exciting innovations like AI, meanwhile, are enhancing the gaming experience and propelling us forwards. Alongside these advancements, though, we've also encountered challenges including industry shifts causing the need for skillset adaptations, and some turbulence across game studios of all sizes.
Industry shifts might bring hurdles, but we see them as an opportunity to spark innovation and refine our skills. What better place to collaborate on how to do this than at GQF! Game Quality Forum not only helps us to tackle these challenges through presentations, panels and interactive discussions, but it also is the only event to bring together primarily the post-dev community and give us a platform to share ideas to make our voice heard, prove our value, and bring back actionable takeaways to improve the processes in our companies. These challenges span across AAA studios and indie studios, and being able to bring everyone together at this yearly forum allows us to form connections with those in the same boat, as well as those we can learn from!
These presentations were very well-rehearsed, there was a lot of story-telling and they were incredibly helpful reminders of why we work in games and what this can bring to others
There were a ton of great speakers bringing their expertise to the table. I appreciated the diversity in backgrounds, experiences, and companies, and very much hope to continue seeing that group expand even more in the future
GQF is always a very valuable event. This year, I have particularly appreciated the mentorship programme that happened on the first day, but also how detailed many of the presentations have been. All speakers have been very open when discussing their processes and solutions. I've come back to work with a long list of ideas to implement in my team
