Digital Engineering for Defense Summit 2024

Accelerating Design Innovation to Transform Complex Systems

June 26-27, 2024 - National Harbor, MD, United States

The Digital Engineering for Defense Summit will bring together leaders from across the DoD, military services, industry, academia, and other relevant stakeholders to support the integration of digital engineering tool and technologies to modernize the engineering practice of defense systems and support a digital transformation across the DoD.

Topics to be covered at the 2024 Summit:

  • Driving Digital Innovation at Air Force Materiel Command
  • Harnessing Digital Transformation to Advance Army Innovation and Readiness
  • Driving a Digital Transformation Across the Navy’s Engineering Practices to Strengthen Maritime Dominance
  • Advancing Digital Engineering Practices and Capabilities Across the DoD
  • Implementing Policies and Guidance to Promote the Validation and Verification of Digital Systems
  • How to Champion Digital Engineering in Your Organization

Why You Should Attend This Summit:

The Department of Defense recognizes the need to modernize engineering practices to accelerate the delivery of innovative, advanced warfighting capabilities at the speed of relevance. In December 2023, the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering released the DoD Instruction 5000.97, mandating the use of digital engineering in the design, development, delivery, acquisition, and sustainment of complex defense systems. This year’s Digital Engineering for Defense Summit will explore the integration of digital engineering practices to optimize efficiencies in the design and development of defense systems, speed up the acquisition of advanced capabilities, support better life cycle management and sustainment of complex systems, and champion digital transformation across the DoD.

The 2024 Digital Engineering Summit will discuss the benefits of integrating digital tools such as modeling and simulation, computer aided design (CAD), 3D printing, AI, big data analytics, and digital twins to reduce costs, risk, and time in the design and development of defense systems. Attendees at this event will have the opportunity to hear from leaders on the panel discuss actionable steps to champion the use of digital tools and technologies across their organization to support faster, higher-quality decision making in the digital engineering environment. Join us at this year’s Digital Engineering for Defense Summit to network with innovators, engineers, decision makers, and key military officials from across the community and contribute to the discussion on the future of digital engineering innovation for the advancement of defense capabilities.

The team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Summits' content and focus areas, and we will assemble the most respected minds in digital engineering and digital transformation across military, academia, and industry. Our non-partisan approach allows us to reach across all services and organizations to bring together a truly holistic group of decision makers and solution providers.

At Our Summit You Have the Ability To:

  • Gain Education & Insight: Walk away with knowledge gained from our senior level speakers on some of the complex challenges facing the digital engineering community.
  • Build Partnerships: The agenda is designed to allow for ample networking opportunities and the ability to engage in constructive dialogue among all in attendance.
  • Influence: Help foster ideas! Share your own insight and knowledge during our interactive sessions. All attendees are encouraged to address our speaker faculty and each other with their questions, comments or ideas.
