Uncrewed Systems 2024 Conference

Leveraging Uncrewed Systems Across The Evolving Battlespace

September 24-25, 2024 - London, United Kingdom

Leveraging Uncrewed Systems Across The Evolving Battlespace

In recent years, with the advent of the UKR/RUS conflict, we have seen a dramatic shift in the face of the modern-day battlefield, as warfighters use pioneering applications of technological advancements to respond to an ever-evolving threat landscape. Necessity famously breeds innovation, and as the world becomes an increasingly unsafe place, the need for more agile, adaptive and evolved weapons increases.

This event will focus on uncrewed systems in both the land and air domain, exploring the digital backbone of the enabling technology, the role of AI within uncrewed systems, and both the future and present operational capabilities of uncrewed and autonomous technology. This event will bring together key stakeholders in the field to explore technological solutions, forge connections, and create new dialogues with allies that will further the development of uncrewed technology.

Additionally the conference will share an exhibition space with the 'Countering Explosive Threat & Demining conference', allowing for greater networking opportunities.

Main Themes Include

  • Operational Applications: Explore the current operational uses of uncrewed systems through the use of UAS and UGVs in current conflicts.
  • DATA: Explore the challenges and solutions surrounding data capture when fielding uncrewed systems.
  • Artificial Intelligence: The role of artificial intelligence in autonomous weapons in the context of both training and reducing the cognitive load of the warfighter.

Benefits of attending

  • Create productive dialogues with senior military leaders and industry partners in order to foster new connections that can lead to enhanced cooperation and improved security for allies.
  • Access perspectives from senior military personnel, in order to gain a deeper perspective on the current requirements and procurement processes across the field of uncrewed systems.
  • Increase your awareness of the science and technology that supports and enables autonomous systems, such as system integrators and AI.
  • Receive operational perspectives from current end-users of autonomous systems, to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced and the observations that can be applied to future operations.

Early confirmed speakers include

  • Lieutenant General David Hodne, Director of the Futures and Concepts Center, US Army
  • Colonel Jan Mazal, Head of the Military Robotics Department, Faculty of Military Technology, Czech Defense University
  • Captain Dennis Monagle, Program Manager PMA 266 Multi-Mission Tactical UAS, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR)
  • Lieutenant Colonel Robin Hicks, Robotic and Autonomous Systems Portfolio Lead, British Army
