Enabling Defense Readiness with Resilient & Robust Energy Solutions

July 31-August 1, 2024 - Washington, DC, United States

The 6th Annual DoD Energy and Power Summit is a 'Town-Hall' style forum that will bring together leaders from across U.S. military services, DoD, federal government, & industry. This event will explore the modernization and advancement of energy and power technologies and solutions that promote energy security, resiliency, and sustainability and that meet the DoD's installation and operational energy demands.

Topics to be covered at the 2024 Summit:

  • Developing Advanced Energy Storage and Battery Solutions
  • Successes and Challenges of Implementing the Federal Sustainability Plan
  • Developing Technologies and Best Practices for U.S. Power Grid Resiliency and Security
  • Implementing Policies and Strategies that Drive Energy Efficiencies Across DoD
  • Supporting the Army's Installation Energy Needs to Maintain Readiness and Boost Resiliency
  • Powering Navy and Marine Corps Installations and Operations with Resilient Energy Solutions
  • Supporting Resilient, Efficient, and Secure Installations, Facilities, and Mobile Environments across the Marine Corps
  • Optimizing Energy Resources for Mission Success Across the DAF's Installations and Operations

Why You Should Attend This Symposium:

The Department of Defense is the single largest energy consumer in the nation, and its operational and energy consumption represents 76% of total federal energy consumption. Recognizing the DoD's need for vast, steady amounts of energy and water to sustain its operations, this year's DoD Energy and Power Summit will address the need to enhance energy security, resilience, and efficiency across installations and expeditionary environments to maintain operational readiness

The 2024 Summit will explore the critical importance of promoting energy assurance across military installations and operational energy initiatives. Speakers will address recent advancements being made to integrate sustainable energy solutions to optimize efficiencies, mitigate costs, and eliminate risks associated with traditional energy sources. Further, this event will examine how to strengthen installations, critical infrastructures, energy grids, and energy solutions against manmade and natural threats as a way to enhance mission assurance and reduce risks to readiness. Join us at this year's event to learn more about fortifying the energy grid, developing energy storage solutions, leveraging clean and sustainable energy solutions, and the role of traditional fuel sources in future DoD energy initiatives. Attendees can expect to hear from, engage with, and ask questions of senior leaders across the energy and power community on the technologies, strategies, and policies that will support the energy and power needs of the Department of Defense.

The 2024 DoD Energy and Power Summit promises to foster an open and honest dialogue centered around energy resilience, security, efficiency, and sustainability for defense applications. The team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Summits' content and focus areas, and we assemble the most respected minds in energy and power across military, academia, and industry. Our non-partisan approach allows us to reach across all services and organizations to bring together a holistic group of decision makers and solution providers.
