Additive Manufacturing for Defense, Aerospace and Space 2025 Conference

Europe's Premier Additive Manufacturing for Aerospace, Defence and Space Conference

February 26-27, 2025 - Bristol, United Kingdom

Widening the Adoption of AM in Advanced Manufacturing

The 12th annual Additive Manufacturing for Aerospace, Defence & Space will return to Bristol, in 2025. Join us to gain world-class expertise from leaders within the West of England's aerospace, advanced engineering and digital manufacturing hub, such as Airbus, Boeing, GKN Aerospace, and Babcock.

As the UK's largest aerospace cluster, with more AM users from the defence and space community, Bristol is once again the optimal location to bring all the stakeholders from the Advanced Manufacturing and 3D Printing ecosystem together to address the current challenges.

This year's theme is implementing advanced manufacturing technologies to help continually optimise products and processes. Within this, the event will look at ways to improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk. With the global aerospace and defence additive manufacturing market predicted to grow to USD 13.01 billion in 2028, and increasing demand for lightweight parts and components, the need for novel AM techniques is at an all-time high.

New for 2025

  • Updates on AM efforts in space
  • Case studies from defence on the AM process for combat
  • Generate ideas, solve problems and explore opportunities in our highly interactive workshops run by leading AM providers

Key Themes Include:

  • Promotion of sustainability in additive manufacturing processes
  • Leveraging emerging AM technologies in process monitoring to maximise quality.
  • Post-production quality assurance ensuring that materials are checked in a way that is cost-effective
  • Procurement issues in deploying additive manufacturing solutions
  • The testing and qualification of structures built with additively-designed materials

Very valuable. We acquired a state-of-the-art understanding, not only of technologies but also of the data and documentation complexities and eco-system of the AM community

Rasmus Dejgaard Jensen, Programme Lead , Vestas Wind Systems

Excellent. Well balanced to reflect the wide spectre of AM applicability. For a starting company in this field this event has been valuable in particular with its applicability to automotive and power generating industries

Alexander Urban, Chairman & CEO , Integrated Steel & Power Ltd

Good cross-section of speakers, interesting inclusion of Space/satellite industry

Neall Heath, Industrial Engineer , Selex ES

It was a very valuable event, I will be attending any future events

Mark Booth , Program Manager, Tronosjet Maintenance
