Advanced E-Motor Technologies 2025 Conference

Part of EV System-Level Efficiency Week

February 25-28, 2025 - Munich, Germany

Europe's Original and Longest-Running Advanced E-Motor Technologies Conference

Lessons Learned in Optimising Each Vehicle Component Independently & Ensure They Work Well on a System Level

Europe's original and longest-running Advanced E-Motor Technologies conference is returning to Munich Germany, delivering solutions to the industry greatest challenges and focusing on five major drivers including:
  • Achieving double-digit cost reduction
  • Increasing efficiency, performance and sustainability
  • Higher energy and torque density
  • Smaller packaging
  • Taking e-motor speed to new levels
Where is the E-Motor Segment of the Automotive Industry at Right Now?

E-Motors are getting faster and faster. Achieving affordable, efficient and sustainable products continue to be a key goal. But as cost pressure increase and supply chain risk grows with most magnet supply controlled by China, there has never been a greater need and bigger push to move to rare earth-less solutions and magnets. Switching from permanent magnet motors to rare earth-less solutions is however presenting new challenges from a safety, control, packaging and performance point of a view to name a few.

Beyond this, there is widespread recognition that the e-motor cannot do much alone; it needs to be controlled in addition to power electronics and controls associated with it. This corelation between e-motor design and inverter development is giving ways to new possibilities in design strategies. Similarly, engineers and strategists are no longer only designing vehicles for e-motors; they must consider the entire powertrain development including auxiliaries, gearboxes, reducers and how power is transmitted power from a rotating machine to the BEV and finally delivered a complete, safe and secure system.

The 12th Advanced E-Motor Technologies 2025 conference is set in the context of these current industry trends and others.
  • FOCUS DAY: Emphasising system efficiency over component efficiency on the first day of the 2025 conference, speakers will take a zoomed-out view and share lessons learned to optimise each component independently and ensure they play well together on a system level.
  • MAIN DAYS 1 & 2: The second and third day of the conference is razor-focused on new advancements in e-motor technologies, materials and end-results from OEM and Tier-1 companies and latest developments in R&D and technology from leading Tier-2 and start-ups companies, including configurations of rare earthless magnets and e-motor technologies such as:
    • Externally Excited Synchronous Motors  |  In-Wheel Hub Motors  |  Reluctance & Induction Motors  |  Radial vs. Axial Flux Motors, and more.
    • The scope broadens to include advancements in e-motor manufacturing techniques, windings, bearings and technology development for the future.  Plus, views on how the industry sees Chinese OEM companies fitting into the European market, what European OEMs plan to do to compete and what they expect the impact of tariffs will be on businesses.
  • WORKSHOP 1/2 DAY: The 2025 conference wraps up with Power Electronics focused half-day on 28th February, focusing on improving efficiency of the not only the e-motor, but also inverter and reducer and the control aspects of e-motor designs.
As Europe's leading conference on Advanced E-Motor Technologies, We invite you to join your peers in Munich from 25th-28th February, to learn from and network with industry leaders shaping the future of electromobility.
