Why You Should Attend This Summit

The global maritime security market size was valued at USD 32.67 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow from USD 34.91 billion in 2024 to USD 49.49 billion by 2032. The maritime security sector has experienced rapid digital transformation with the integration of sophisticated technologies for enhanced maritime domain awareness and threat detection. Port authorities and maritime stakeholders are increasingly deploying artificial intelligence-enabled surveillance systems, automated screening solutions, and integrated command and control platforms. The adoption of these advanced digital platforms has been particularly pronounced in critical infrastructure protection, with ports worldwide implementing next-generation security systems that combine physical and cyber security measures to create comprehensive protection frameworks. A recent Executive Order has also been put into place to help restore maritime dominance providing consistent funding for maritime programs, in addition to a shipbuilding financial incentives program that will boost private investment in U.S. shipbuilding and transform the overall maritime industrial base. The Maritime Security Summit will detail the various innovative capabilities, tools, & technologies that critical stakeholders across military, government and industry are using to enhance the nation’s coastlines, ports, harbors, facilities, & vessels in support of overall national security efforts.

The United States continues to enhance the capabilities of current systems, developing new procedures to detect, locate, and track maritime threats and illicit activities for improved overall situational awareness. Maritime security efforts are essential in protecting ports and providing coastal surveillance technologies and services to safeguard the interest of a nation and its people against various maritime threats. This event will offer attendees insight on the importance of public/private partnerships in enhancing maritime domain awareness. Senior level perspectives at this forum from across all levels of military, government and industry will cover topic areas such as short- and long-range vessel detection and monitoring capabilities, advanced radar/sensor technologies, and information processing tools for the persistent monitoring of the maritime domain. Panel discussions  across  both days of the Summit will focus on various topics such as incentivizing shipbuilding to bolster the maritime industrial base; major city port security efforts that involve the safeguarding of ports from various threats, including terrorism, cyberattacks, and illegal maritime activities; the use of AI tools and unmanned systems for increased maritime surveillance and threat detection efforts; and advancing cyber resiliency for the maritime transportation system.
