Past event: Mine Countermeasures

Developing the next generation of MCM capabilities and strategies between navies worldwide

Building on the success of our existing naval and maritime (such as Submarine Operations and Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance), we are delighted to announce our inaugural Mine Countermeasures Conference.

As maritime operations shift from open oceans to the littorals, mine warfare is becoming increasingly important, especially since a rogue nation recently threatened to mine the Strait of Hormuz. Navies operating in the littorals stated that sea mines represent a clear and present danger. Emphasising the need for navies worldwide to upgrade their collective MCM capability to adequately respond to this threat.

Mine Countermeasures Conference offers you a unique opportunity to engage with senior mine countermeasures officers from around the world to actively discuss the current, emerging and future technologies that will shape the future of counter mine operations. MCM 2013 will provide you with the latest information and development in strategic mission planning, improving surveillance technologies, robustness, data transfer and improving MCM detection in the littorals.

Highlights of Mine Countermeasures 2013 include:

Invaluable operational feedback from the International Mine Countermeasures Exercise 2012 and Dynamic Move 2013 providing you with the latest recommendations and solutions to improve your own MCM strategies and capabilities.

An in-depth look into the role of Unmanned Vehicles in MCM Operations. Get the latest technological innovations on improving the performance of unmanned vehicles in the front line ranging from bio-inspired ship propulsion to AUV design
