Delivering Greater Strategic and Tactical Airlift Capabilities through Pooling and Sharing

With the growing operational demands from our global combat forces and an uncertain operational environment, it is imperative that our strategic and tactical airlift capabilities are optimal to project our forces to distant theatres in a short period of time.

Now in its tenth year, we are proud to announce that Military Airlift 2013 will take place at Melsbroek Air Base, Belgium in cooperation with the 15th Air Transport Wing from the Belgian Air Component, who is celebrating 65 years of their existence as well as 40 years of operational service of the C-130 and Falcon DA-20 fleet.

This year we will focus on pooling and sharing (smart defence) as well as providing you with a comprehensive update on the current state of nations’ strategic and tactical airlift capabilities. Including fixed-wing systems providing you with a holistic overview from our most-comprehensive speaker panel to date on the key challenges they face from the frontline providing you with operational feedback from key international operations abroad such as Afghanistan, Mali and Greenland.
