This page shows historical information on the Military Behavioral Health, held on March 18-20, 2013 in Alexandria,
VA,
United States
The new edition of this event will be held on July 23-24, 2024
Military Behavioral Healthcare will tackle the challenges faced by current soldiers, retiring service members and veterans. It brings together a community of psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, doctors, nurses and other medical professionals dedicated to facilitating proper readjustment, service transition, diagnosis and preventive care.
The event will encompass several areas on a soldier’s mental health as related to issues caused by combat and deployment. They can range from phobias, anxiety disorders, depression to obsessive-compulsive disorder – and most importantly, commonly experienced challenges such as PTSD, TBI, and Suicide.
After a decade plus of combat, the service members and statistics are showing clear alarming rates of PTSD, TBI, and suicide. Studies show that a military member commits suicide every day. The Defense Department is committed in their efforts to combat these issues; spending more time and money on effective research, care and outreach. Be sure to join in on the conversation at Military Behavioral Healthcare.
