Past event: Arctic Patrol and Reconnaissance

We are delighted to announce the launch of our inaugural Arctic Patrol and Reconnaissance event.

Held in the illustrious Royal Danish Defence College, the event will bring together the key Arctic Nations, as well as major international partners, to discuss the common challenges, and solutions, for conducting Arctic patrol and reconnaissance.

The melting of the polar ice has begun to open up more waterways which offer great possibilities for shipping routes and access to natural resources. Whilst it may take some years for these waterways to become fully viable, nations must act now to secure the long-term security of their Arctic Maritime Environments.

We will discuss the future technologies and platforms required to secure Arctic maritime interests whilst enhancing the multilateral international relationships which are vital to protecting Arctic interests.

Highlights of the Arctic Patrol and Reconnaissance Conference include:

  • Discussing future procurement challenges to match the changing Arctic environment
  • Developing more sophisticated surveillance systems in order to improve situational awareness
  • Building greater multi-national Arctic Security partnerships and examining international exercises in the High North
We sincerely hope that you can join us in Copenhagen for this most timely of events.
