Past event: C3IS in the Deployed Battlespace

The availability of a reliable, effective, secure and networked tactical communications system is a huge force multiplier for the modern commander, whilst equipment or network failure can be problematic in the extreme.

With ten years experience of producing C2 and C4ISR events, C3IS in the Deployed Battlespace will provide a full 360 degree examination of the wide range of technical challenges faced in providing effective and secure communications to the tactical warfighter and discuss how commanders can gain that decisive edge on the battlefield through all methods available.

C3IS in the Deployed Battlespace will:

• Provide detailed and up-to-date feedback on frontline land and joint operations and the challenges faced by military personnel in ensuring a reliable, secure and interoperable communications capability, whether it be through software defined radio, SatComs, other digital forms and even Smart Phones and Rover-type kit.
• Provide detailed and up-to-date information on current and future procurement activities of Nato and non-Nato nations within the sphere of C3IS, with a thorough examination of nations’ efforts to provide both the software and hardware infrastructure to meet the demands of the warfighter, with especial focus on the implementation on COTS and consumer-driven equipment
• Provide insight into the technical hurdles faced in the field of military communications, with senior capability managers, scientists and technical developers contributing a wide variety of presentations, panel sessions, roundtables and workshops aimed at examining these technical hurdles.
